Last night not only did a lunar eclipse occur during the winter solstice but also the moon had a red color. I managed to get a photo of this phenomenon, though missing the eclipse by one hour. The photo is taken in Henan Province China at about 7:40 pm Beijing time (+12 hours EST). Other than an infusion filter and slight color intensifying via Adobe PS,the photo is untouched. Camera used Nikon D series with a Sigma 18-200mm lens, ISO set at 200 with extended exposure.
